This is great work, and I really like the explanation of your methodology above. So much as I've experimented with "random" drawing, I have my wife make a scribble for me to turn into some other wacky illustration. I usually end up with cartoon faces, though, nothing as dynamic as what you're producing here.
I think I'm going to have to 'watch' you just to see what you continue to come up with.
Glad you noticed. I have been using random lines to define what the picture will be. I'll use the colors for form and for the subtraction of lines i do not want. Therefore the messiness. W/ these ink an brush drawings I let the random random lines of black create the subject, and subtract w/color. Thanks for noticing .
This is really cool! You have an awesome style, it looks like a stained glass window but it is messy which makes it very striking, Also the red works really well
